We were lucky enough to meet through mutual friends while pretending to be athletic on a softball field (and yes—Nikk was the left-handed shortstop). It wasn’t exactly love at first sight, but a friendship sparked, and over time, we grew closer and closer.

Things began - depending on who you ask - at a Zac Brown Band concert in August 2018… Shannon thought Nikk was asking her to be his girlfriend, while Nikk thought Shannon was just suggesting we grab another beer. Once we got on the same page—about both the relationship and the beer, our journey officially began.

For the past seven years, we’ve been building a life together: chasing goals, navigating change, and supporting each other through it all. We’re so excited to take the strong foundation we’ve built and start our next chapter together in February 2027.

As a couple, nothing makes us happier than celebrating with the people we love most, and we can’t wait to do just that in a beautiful place with all of you by our side.
